The 518 What A RUSH engine was a stock 454 Chevy bored .030 and has become a 460 CID.
J E Pistons custom built 10 pistons part # 223535 with spiro and pins.
The Rings are total seal and rods are Eagle crs613580l19.
The motor reused the crankshaft #4340 which was balanced also.
Crane Cam built us a cam part # R-254/420-2S1-14 IG with a centerline 114 this had to be special cut.
The gross lift INt./Exh. is .714 and is a roller camshaft for supercharger.
The heads are Brodix 454 BB-2 xtra. The heads and block are o'ringed for the blower.
ARP sent us a set of studs bolts for the new heads part # 235-4702.
The motor was built by Mothers Machine (Owner Guy Orr) in Springfield MO.
The motor was dyno and fuel setup by Gary Sellin performance at 7200 rpm it made
1107hp at 821 foot pounds of torque.
The motor is fed by a new Mooneyham 871 Blower with enderle hat and a waterman fuel pump.
The 13.9 pulleys are 34 on the crank and 36 on the blower to get 10 lbs of boost.
The fuel we use is Alcohol.
The oil is Valvoline 20w-50 synthetic racing but we used 20w-50 reg racing to break in the motor.
The Ignition is MSD 7 box now and the engine is cooled by a Water puppy Model 18660-0121.
The motor will be turning a Casale V-drive with a whirl-away and 58% gears that are lighten.
The V-drive has a new splined hub and shaft add because the key would break in the old one too much power.
The out put shaft on the v-drive was changed to 1 1/8 shaft to make it stronger. by J.J. Beavers.
The v-drive needed to be beefed up so Mark at Magnum Mold in Nixa cut a new v-drive plate and made
supports to keep the motor for getting thrust bearing failure.
The two bladed prop size 11 by 17. Max RPM is 7000 in 1/4 mile.
The weight of the kurtis 500 with out engine and v-drive is 450 pounds.
We are wanting to put a computer in the boat from Racepak Data Systems.

The 815 Rush boat has the baby motor and on the Dyno it makes 850 HP.

The cam is a Crane Cam # 13-4561.The Dur. @ .050 is Int. 236 / Exh. 246 with a centerline 114.
The total cam is 553/571. Hydraulic Lifters,Push Rods, Springs,Seals,Retainers are all from Crane Cams too.
The heads are 454 / tricked out by Mother's and the block was o'ringed for the blower.

The blower was bought in 97 used and still running it.
The 13.9 pulleys are 32 on the crank and 36 on the blower to get 5 lbs of boost.
The Ignition is MSD and the engine is cooled by a Water puppy Model 18660-0121.
The motor will be turning a Casale V-drive with a whirl-away and 45% gears.
The V-drive has a new splined hub and shaft added because the key would break in the old one.
The two bladed prop size 11 by 17. Max RPM is 6000 in 1/4 mile.
The weight of the 1982 Hondo hydro with out engine and v-drive is 1000 pounds.
